It is with great pleasure that we introduce our school website to you. We hope it will serve to give you an insight into our school community and inform you of our policies and practices.
Our overwhelming aim as Teachers and Governors, is to make each child’s years here as happy, fruitful and memorable as we can. This, we believe, comes from putting the child at the centre of all our plans and activities.
As a close knit school we also believe in the value of the family and the community. We place great emphasis on the partnership that exists between the home, the school and the community. As well as knowledge, we place great importance on acquiring skills, concepts and attitudes.
We expect a very high standard of behaviour from our pupils. A positive reward system is in place at school and excellence in academic work, good behaviour and positive attitude is encouraged and rewarded.
Richmond Park School aims to provide a well-disciplined, caring environment which allows pupils to realise their full potential, both academically and socially.
Whilst encouraging individual qualities such as independence of thought, self discipline and pride in one’s appearance and work, we also stress the importance of respect for others, team work and community spirit.
We aim to equip our pupils with the knowledge, skills and values to help them take their place as responsible, well-rounded, caring members of society.
